H.E.L.P. Certificate

The Health Education Leadership and Prevention (H.E.L.P.) Certificate is an opportunity for students and faculty/staff to gain skills and confidence in providing support to individuals impacted by interpersonal violence, substance use, mental health, and basic medical emergencies. This unique opportunity recognizes your commitment to making a difference on campus by awarding non-academic credit for completing nationally recognized prevention training focused on health and wellbeing.

Through interactive workshops and real-life scenarios, you’ll develop practical skills to recognize when someone may be struggling, respond with empathy, and connect them to the resources they need. Participants will gain knowledge of campus health and wellbeing resources and referral skills to connect students and peers with appropriate care.

Students who are interested in learning more about the H.E.L.P. Certificate can visit our Niner Engage page. Faculty/staff can visit the Learning and Organizational Development (LOD) portal.
