SMART Recovery @ 1:00 - 2:00 PM: This program supports students facing addictive or problematic behaviors, using an evidence-based approach. Open to all students.

Al-Anon @ 4:00 - 5:00 PM: An on-campus support for students impacted by someone else’s drinking. Open to all students and people in the Charlotte community. (Al-Anon Operates independently of the CRP)

*Join us in the CRP Room, located on the lower level of the Waddell Center for Student Health and Wellbeing (Room 107). Free parking is available on the upper level; please sign in at the front desk for parking.

Recovery Ally Hangout @ 2:00 - 3:00 PM: A safe space for Ally members to explore their relationship with substances/behaviors and connect with peers. Whether you're in recovery, seeking recovery, or supporting someone on their recovery journey, this meeting is for you! #R4E Open to all students.

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) @ 4:00 - 5:00 PM: An on-campus meeting tailored for students dealing with alcohol misuse or addiction, following a 12-step program model. Open to all students and people in the Charlotte community! (AA Operates independently of the CRP)

C.R.E.A.T.E.(Creative Recovery And Talk Exchange)

C.R.E.A.T.E @ 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: A creative group that will allow members to explore movement, art, writing, and other holistic practices to support recovery capital. (This group is for CRP members only, complete an interest form if you want to explore membership.)

SMART Recovery Virtual Series (Feb 12 - March 5, 2026)


 

Thursday

Recovery Navigation Drop-In @ 3:00 - 4:00 PM: Join this virtual drop-in (Zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/94322020638?pwd=Lnn1CIQiqtKQmV5vY6yrV9SLYbjYaU.1) to learn more about the Charlotte Recovery Program (CRP), explore recovery resources, and get help with next steps. Open to all students.

Students can use this time to:

  • Learn about CRP and its offerings
  • Ask general questions about recovery support
  • Receive help completing the CRP application (if interested)
  • Get an overview of CRP expectations and resources

Sessions are facilitated by a licensed clinical addiction specialist and are informational and supportive in nature. This is not a therapy group or crisis service, and students are not required to share personal information to participate. All Students may join for part or all of the session.

SMART Recovery Virtual Series @ 4:00 - 5:00 PM: This program supports students facing addictive or problematic behaviors, using an evidence-based approach. Open to all students. *This virtual meeting has specific meeting dates: 2/12, 2/19, 2/26, and 3/5. (Zoom Link: TBA)
