Master of Social Work Intern

Bailey Hoesman is a student in the Master of Social Work program in the College of Health and Human
Services at UNC Charlotte. She recently became the MSW Intern at the CWP working primarily in
Interpersonal Violence Prevention. She completed her undergraduate studies in the College of Education
at East Carolina University where she earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a
concentration in General Science. Her social work background began in 2013 when she became a
volunteer for Camp Wings 2 Soar, a grief camp hosted by Hospice of Cabarrus County. She continued
working at this camp annually and became a volunteer counselor during the summer of 2016, working
primarily with children between the ages of 6 and 7, and has continued to volunteer, most recently
working at this past year's camp in June of 2023. Bailey is passionate about working with and advocating
for children within the area of mental health, as well as education and outreach for Interpersonal
Violence.
